<lb ed="B" n="0370b13"/>者笑之。况佛本無病。而宋儒以大藥治之。佛

<lb ed="B" n="0371a15"/>不能不與神靈和合。以故神靈有染淨。有染

<lb ed="B" n="0371b08"/>盡。神靈長存。人之形氣會<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0371008" n="0371008"/>終。神靈不死。亦猶
<lb ed="B" n="0371b09"/>雲霞變遷虛空不爛也。人心之神靈與十法
<lb ed="B" n="0371b10"/>界同一神靈耳。故可以佛。可以菩薩。可以緣
<lb ed="B" n="0371b11"/>覺聲聞。可以天人脩羅。可以地獄餓鬼畜生。
<lb ed="B" n="0371b12"/>惟視人之染淨何如矣。安得謂人死無鬼。遂
<lb ed="B" n="0371b13"/>無佛幷無天神地祗。同于草木瓦礫乎。余嘗
<lb ed="B" n="0371b14"/>與一朝士論彼。云無佛無神無鬼無因果無
<lb ed="B" n="0371b15"/>輪廻。余難之曰。子謂都無矣。亦無<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0371009" n="0371009"/>上帝。否。彼
<lb ed="B" n="0371b16"/>不敢也。而曰上帝安得無余。乃大笑曰。子必

<lb ed="B" n="0372a05"/>人死之有知也。<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0372005" n="0372005"/>死而有鬼也。因果輪廻也。如
<lb ed="B" n="0372a06"/>日之必有月也。晝之必有夜也。暑之必有寒
<lb ed="B" n="0372a07"/>也。陽之必有陰也。周孔皆不言無。宋儒欲斥
<lb ed="B" n="0372a08"/>佛而遂欲幷神鬼而無之。惑亦甚矣。是故<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0372006" n="0372006"/>人
<lb ed="B" n="0372a09"/>修其心爲佛心。則爲佛。修其心爲菩薩心。則
<lb ed="B" n="0372a10"/>爲菩薩。修其心爲天心。則爲天。修其心爲人
<lb ed="B" n="0372a11"/>心。則爲人。不能修而心爲修羅心。則爲脩羅。
<lb ed="B" n="0372a12"/>心爲<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0372007" n="0372007"/>三途心。則爲三途。善惡升沉。皆有因果。
<lb ed="B" n="0372a13"/>撥而無之。大罪也。</p>
<lb ed="B" n="0372a14"/><p xml:id="pB28p0372a1401"><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0372008" n="0372008"/>宋儒謂佛有觀心之說。夫心者。人之所主乎
<lb ed="B" n="0372a15"/>身。一而不二者也。故以心觀物。則物之理得。
<lb ed="B" n="0372a16"/>今復百物以反觀千心。則是心之外。復有一

<lb ed="B" n="0372b01"/>心而能<g ref="#CB32069">𮅬</g>乎此心也。又曰佛氏之學。以心求
<lb ed="B" n="0372b02"/>心。以心使心如口齕口。如目視目。此言非也。
<lb ed="B" n="0372b03"/>蓋<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0372009" n="0372009"/>心也者。湛寂靈明。圓融無礙。包羅萬法。含
<lb ed="B" n="0372b04"/>褁十方。至靈至妙之物也。心一而<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_add_0372b0401" n="0372b0401"/><anchor xml:id="beg0372b0401" n="0372b0401"/>已<anchor xml:id="end0372b0401"/>。非有二
<lb ed="B" n="0372b05"/>也。以其圓融無礙。故外觀百物只此一心。內
<lb ed="B" n="0372b06"/>觀一心。亦只此一心。外觀百物謂之放光。內
<lb ed="B" n="0372b07"/>觀一心。謂之返照。能放光又能返照此心之
<lb ed="B" n="0372b08"/>所以爲靈妙也。月能照萬川。不能返照。以月

<lb ed="B" n="0373a01"/>不同。口與目能一而不能二。以一爲一者。形
<lb ed="B" n="0373a02"/>也。心能一而能萬。以萬爲一者。神也。故口不
<lb ed="B" n="0373a03"/>能齕口。目不能視目。而心能觀心也。夫心欲
<lb ed="B" n="0373a04"/>其淨。去染而得淨。誰能爲之。心也。謂之以心
<lb ed="B" n="0373a05"/>觀心則可。謂之以心求心亦可。謂心有二則
<lb ed="B" n="0373a06"/>不可。若以心觀心爲二心。則以心觀百物。百
<lb ed="B" n="0373a07"/>心也。</p>

<lb ed="B" n="0374a05"/>學人。於吾佛何損乎。佛之方嚴如此。此皆傳

<lb ed="B" n="0374a10"/>賴此做事業。所以不同。夫以儒之求放心。比
<lb ed="B" n="0374a11"/>佛之入定似也放心者。心馳於萬里不勝其
<lb ed="B" n="0374a12"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0374007" n="0374007"/>翕熠紛飛求而收之。尙未必有<g ref="#CB01665">𣠽</g>柄。定心者。

<lb ed="B" n="0375a13"/>學者也。柰何畏其源之難窮。窮之未能。而身

<lb ed="B" n="0375a15"/>是畏須彌之高恐其<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0375010" n="0375010"/>顚越姑從山足而譚。須

<lb ed="B" n="0375b10"/>其邪正不得其罪。安定其斷案不惟。佛氏不
<lb ed="B" n="0375b11"/>服旁人亦不服也。<g ref="#CB21906">𨐫</g>如誣平民爲盜者。必云
<lb ed="B" n="0375b12"/>吾已入其奧室。得其眞<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0375016" n="0375016"/>贓。乃可定罪。<g ref="#CB15164">𮨇</g>曰吾
<lb ed="B" n="0375b13"/>畏盜之疆也。入而窮之恐未必得贓。身陷大

<lb ed="B" n="0376a01"/>超生死不得不先斷情緣。旣證眞常自然濟
<lb ed="B" n="0376a02"/>度父母一人成道<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0376001" n="0376001"/>九族生天。生逢吉祥死蒙
<lb ed="B" n="0376a03"/><g ref="#CB15072">㧞</g>濟。其視凡人父子。依戀膝下而<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0376002" n="0376002"/>服勞奉養
<lb ed="B" n="0376a04"/>以爲虔繫縛情緣而<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0376003" n="0376003"/>淪胥共溺於苦海。其爲
<lb ed="B" n="0376a05"/>孝孰大而孰小。余固嘗辨此詳矣。此未足以
<lb ed="B" n="0376a06"/>定佛氏罪也。服佛氏心也。</p>

<lb ed="B" n="0376a09"/>閣。意中謂禪亦有在。且將聖人書讀來讀去。
<lb ed="B" n="0376a10"/>一日覺聖賢言語漸漸有味。回頭看釋氏之

<lb ed="B" n="0377b07"/>所謂心。正聖人所謂意。心只是諛得這理<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0377019" n="0377019"/>佛
<lb ed="B" n="0377b08"/>氏元不曾認得這理一節。便認知覺運動做
<lb ed="B" n="0377b09"/>性如<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0377020" n="0377020"/>視聽言貌思。聖人則各有其理。佛氏只
<lb ed="B" n="0377b10"/>認得能視能聽能思能動底便是性。不管橫
<lb ed="B" n="0377b11"/>來竪來。他都認做性。<g ref="#CB08764">㝡</g>怕人說這理字。都要
<lb ed="B" n="0377b12"/>除掉了。冤哉<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0377021" n="0377021"/>晦翁之詆佛也。佛氏之言心性
<lb ed="B" n="0377b13"/>元只是一物天地世界人物器具公共底一
<lb ed="B" n="0377b14"/>件。淸淨廣大。妙湛圓明物事。名之爲性。性之
<lb ed="B" n="0377b15"/>靈通處。名之爲心。性如鏡之明。心如鏡之照。
<lb ed="B" n="0377b16"/>其實一物也。無所不含裹總謂之性。性而靈

<lb ed="B" n="0378a01"/>通乃謂之心如山河大地草木瓦礫皆有性

<lb ed="B" n="0378a03"/>地草木瓦礫。止名爲性。不名爲心。佛之所謂
<lb ed="B" n="0378a04"/>心乃淸淨廣大<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0378002" n="0378002"/>妙湛圓明。謂之本覺謂之般
<lb ed="B" n="0378a05"/>若謂之<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0378003" n="0378003"/>毗盧性海謂之<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0378004" n="0378004"/>摩尼寶珠。所謂意者。
<lb ed="B" n="0378a06"/>乃人心之識神生死之根本。佛之所以圓修
<lb ed="B" n="0378a07"/>妙悟必<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0378005" n="0378005"/>轉此識神而爲智慧。乃稱爲轉凡成
<lb ed="B" n="0378a08"/>聖也蓋凡夫之與聖人。本同具此心性。凡夫
<lb ed="B" n="0378a09"/>迷眞逐<g ref="#CB09167">𡚶</g>。故智慧化而爲識神。聖人破妄歸
<lb ed="B" n="0378a10"/>眞。故識神轉而爲智慧。意者。佛之所呵也。乃
<lb ed="B" n="0378a11"/>云佛所謂心正聖人所謂意。亦大謬矣。佛氏
<lb ed="B" n="0378a12"/>歸眞則知覺運動<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0378006" n="0378006"/>視聽言動能視能聽能言
<lb ed="B" n="0378a13"/>能動無非<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0378007" n="0378007"/>是性。凡夫逐妄則知覺運動。視聽
<lb ed="B" n="0378a14"/>言動。能視能聽能言能動無非是妄。謂佛氏
<lb ed="B" n="0378a15"/>只認得能視聽能言動底是性豈不冤哉。夫
<lb ed="B" n="0378a16"/>能視能聽能言能動謂之非性不可。而謂佛

<lb ed="B" n="0378b01"/>氏所稱淸淨廣大妙湛圓明之性。只在視聽
<lb ed="B" n="0378b02"/>言動得名。有是理乎。宋儒誣佛。佛初無是說
<lb ed="B" n="0378b03"/>也。說性則如來會一性於綂宗。說理則如來
<lb ed="B" n="0378b04"/>詮萬理于事物。理之廣博橫被法界理之精
<lb ed="B" n="0378b05"/>微。析入毫芒。二乘之破<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0378008" n="0378008"/>見思窮理尙粗。菩薩
<lb ed="B" n="0378b06"/>之破無明。窮理斯精<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0378009" n="0378009"/>等覺之一品無明未破。
<lb ed="B" n="0378b07"/>則理尙有碍。必入妙覺而後一眞了徹萬理
<lb ed="B" n="0378b08"/>洞然矣。謂佛不認得理字。又豈不冤哉。夫佛
<lb ed="B" n="0378b09"/>稱<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0378010" n="0378010"/>世尊。尊無二上也。師表天人。依怙幽顯。非
<lb ed="B" n="0378b10"/>理孰爲<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0378011" n="0378011"/>主張應權三界普度群靈非理孰爲
<lb ed="B" n="0378b11"/>運周。且理有自然安排<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_add_0378b1101" n="0378b1101"/><anchor xml:id="beg0378b1101" n="0378b1101"/>已<anchor xml:id="end0378b1101"/>遠理有各當湊泊
<lb ed="B" n="0378b12"/>卽乖不安排而有不湊泊而合。此佛理之所
<lb ed="B" n="0378b13"/>以爲玅也。宋儒之所謂理。不知果何物耶。</p>

<lb ed="B" n="0378b15"/>中。不舍一法他本自說得自所養者也。正是
<lb ed="B" n="0378b16"/>差處便在這裏吾。儒所養者。是仁義理智他

<lb ed="B" n="0379a01"/>所養者。只是視聽言動。儒者則全體中。自有
<lb ed="B" n="0379a02"/>許多道理。各自有分別。有是非。他則只是見

<lb ed="B" n="0379a04"/>都羌吾儒只是一個眞實道理。他只認得<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0379003" n="0379003"/>人
<lb ed="B" n="0379a05"/>心。無所謂道心。吾儒說無不周。無不徧他。亦
<lb ed="B" n="0379a06"/>說無不周無不徧然人倫上不能周徧更說
<lb ed="B" n="0379a07"/>甚周徧。夫<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0379004" n="0379004"/>存心養性養得成儒成佛儒佛皆
<lb ed="B" n="0379a08"/>有之<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_add_0379a0801" n="0379a0801"/><anchor xml:id="beg0379a0801" n="0379a0801"/>但<anchor xml:id="end0379a0801"/>儒者存養在人倫事物。而不免黏帶
<lb ed="B" n="0379a09"/>著實。以故<g ref="#CB20060">䖏</g>置得。世界停當而卒。縛於世界
<lb ed="B" n="0379a10"/>之中。佛氏存養亦不捨人倫事物而悟得<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0379005" n="0379005"/>妙
<lb ed="B" n="0379a11"/>有眞空以故亦處置得世界停當而卒超於
<lb ed="B" n="0379a12"/>世界之外。卒縛於世界之中故不斷生死卒
<lb ed="B" n="0379a13"/>超于世界之外故永免流浪儒所養者是仁
<lb ed="B" n="0379a14"/>義禮智得之矣。他所養者只是視聽言動非
<lb ed="B" n="0379a15"/>也。夫性無口眼廓然眞如。性無形相渾然大
<lb ed="B" n="0379a16"/>覺。仁義禮智從事物理體而得名視聽言動

<lb ed="B" n="0379b01"/>從神識應用而立號雖俱是眞性發現不過
<lb ed="B" n="0379b02"/>眞性影子。如來從眞性全體不發不現處。悟
<lb ed="B" n="0379b03"/>得。豁然洞然。復還淸淨廣大妙湛圓明之本
<lb ed="B" n="0379b04"/>然後<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0379006" n="0379006"/>光明寂照。包含普徧。仁義禮智。視聽言
<lb ed="B" n="0379b05"/>動。一一皆合至理皆是妙用若卽在仁義禮
<lb ed="B" n="0379b06"/>智視聽言動上存養性靈則是認影子以爲
<lb ed="B" n="0379b07"/>本眞。失之遠矣。謂全體中自有許多道理是
<lb ed="B" n="0379b08"/>也<g ref="#CB02993">䫃</g>儒者爲有分別是非故逐於情識。而昧
<lb ed="B" n="0379b09"/>渾崙物事。佛氏爲無分別是非故了悟渾崙
<lb ed="B" n="0379b10"/>物事。而卒亦<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0379007" n="0379007"/>萬象森然。含裹十方徧周沙界
<lb ed="B" n="0379b11"/>惟如來有之耳。謂只見得渾崙物事。用<g ref="#CB20060">䖏</g>都
<lb ed="B" n="0379b12"/>羌此尤昧性之譚也。天下惟此個渾崙物事
<lb ed="B" n="0379b13"/>無所不包含。無所不森列。如渾崙一個朗月
<lb ed="B" n="0379b14"/>徧暎百川渾崙一個明鏡普現萬像若川川
<lb ed="B" n="0379b15"/>而覔一個月。月何能周。像像而安一個鏡鏡
<lb ed="B" n="0379b16"/>何能遍。</p>

<lb ed="B" n="0380a03"/>時凋。又<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0380002" n="0380002"/>撲落非他物縱橫不是塵。山河及大
<lb ed="B" n="0380a04"/>地。全露法王身。看他是甚麼樣見識。又云此
<lb ed="B" n="0380a05"/>是法眼禪師下一泒宗旨如此今之禪家。皆
<lb ed="B" n="0380a06"/>破其說以爲有理路。落窠臼。碍正知見今多
<lb ed="B" n="0380a07"/>是<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0380003" n="0380003"/>麻三斤。<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0380004" n="0380004"/>乾屎橛之說。謂之不落窠臼不墮
<lb ed="B" n="0380a08"/>理路。他說分明處却不是。只內中這等一句
<lb ed="B" n="0380a09"/><anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0380005" n="0380005"/>黑如漆者便是緊要處。嗚呼。此難言矣。古人
<lb ed="B" n="0380a10"/>兩偈理趣朗然。宜儒者所會心也。而禪門反
<lb ed="B" n="0380a11"/>破其說。麻斤乾屎。意味<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0380006" n="0380006"/>索然。宜儒者所呵笑
<lb ed="B" n="0380a12"/>也。而至人反拈其話頭。何也然叅前兩偈未
<lb ed="B" n="0380a13"/>必證道。叅後兩語。徃徃有悟禪者此又何也。

<lb ed="B" n="0380b07"/>理疏通。依舊落在卜度思議。明時愈晦悟處
<lb ed="B" n="0380b08"/>轉迷矣。<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0380013" n="0380013"/>六祖樵夫也。以不識一字而疾得證
<lb ed="B" n="0380b09"/>悟。<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0380014" n="0380014"/>阿難多聞總持人也。以多聞掃盡而後悟
<lb ed="B" n="0380b10"/>眞空良有以也。一句黑如漆乃其所以朗於

<lb ed="B" n="0381b04"/>度盡天下。豈有度盡天下而尙可謂之自私

<lb ed="B" n="0382a07"/>作紛擾想。遇歡喜不作歡喜想。遇苦惱。不作

<lb ed="B" n="0382a09"/>境轉。一物不至而機常活。萬物並作而中寂

<lb ed="B" n="0382a13"/>之比。蓋鑑反背則爲死銅。安能鑑物。心返照

<lb ed="B" n="0383b10"/>一身之小。自凡夫之四大而言。謂虛空之大。
<lb ed="B" n="0383b11"/>亦自凡夫之情見而論。如來不爾。如來證眞
<lb ed="B" n="0383b12"/>如法身。<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0383014" n="0383014"/>毗盧遮那遍一切處。<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0383015" n="0383015"/>丈六金身。猶爲
<lb ed="B" n="0383b13"/>劣應。安得謂蔽其用於一身之小也。如來眞
<lb ed="B" n="0383b14"/>心。極其廣大。虛空生心。如片雲之點太淸。空
<lb ed="B" n="0383b15"/>生大覺如一漚之發大海。安得謂溺其志於
<lb ed="B" n="0383b16"/>虛空之大也。爲此說者。是全不知佛之地位。

<lb ed="B" n="0384a04"/><p xml:id="pB28p0384a0401">宋儒謂。佛家言禍福報應足以<anchor xml:id="nkr_note_orig_0384001" n="0384001"/>鉗制愚俗爲
<lb ed="B" n="0384a05"/>資足衣食之計。嗟乎。如此老語則是因果報
<lb ed="B" n="0384a06"/>應。乃後世行脚乞食衲子。專爲衣食計者。倡
<lb ed="B" n="0384a07"/>爲此說不知此乃釋迦金口宣言楞嚴諸經。
<lb ed="B" n="0384a08"/>歷歷道明釋迦棄王位出家。何愁無衣食倡
